Romans 1:6 NKJV

“…among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ.”

Good morning, friends.

Sometimes, when we read the Bible, it can feel like we’re looking through a window into someone else’s story. But Paul gently shifts that perspective here. After describing the Gospel, the risen Christ, and the call to obedience through faith, he says something quietly remarkable: “among whom you also are the called…”

That little phrase is easy to skip over, but don’t miss what Paul’s saying. He’s writing to people in Rome, but the Spirit is speaking across time to us. You are part of this. You’re not an outsider looking in. You’re not a spectator to the Gospel story. You’re among the called, invited into a life of grace and purpose through Jesus Christ.

Being “called” doesn’t just mean hearing a message. It means being personally invited, known by name, and summoned into a relationship that changes everything. It means Jesus saw you, wanted you, and called you to Himself, motivated entirely by His love rather than anything you had to offer.

Today’s Reflection:

You are not forgotten or overlooked. You have been personally called by Jesus Christ, invited into His grace, and welcomed into His story. Let that truth take root in your heart today, and walk with the quiet confidence of someone chosen, loved, and known.

Closing Prayer:

Father, thank You that we're not distant from Your story; we’re part of it. Thank You for calling us through Jesus. Help us walk today with the confidence that we are known, loved, and chosen by You. Draw our hearts closer to Yours. Amen.
