Romans 1:15 NKJV

“So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.”

Good morning, friends.

Paul had tried to make his way to Rome more than once, but something always held him back. Still, he didn’t give up. He wanted to see fruit among the believers there, just as he had seen God work powerfully among the Gentiles elsewhere. And now, after the delays and detours, he writes with renewed purpose and a heart full of readiness: “I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.”

There’s a deep sense of calling in these verses. Paul isn’t just being polite; he’s driven. He sees every person, every city, every opportunity through the lens of the Gospel. And what’s remarkable is that this eagerness isn’t reserved for unbelievers alone. He’s just as eager to preach the Gospel to believers, because the Gospel isn’t something we graduate from. It’s the lifeblood of our faith, for both salvation and everyday strength.

When delays hit or plans shift, it can be easy to lose heart. But Paul models something better: a persistence rooted in purpose, and a readiness that doesn’t fade with time. Even in the waiting, he stayed willing, eager to step in as soon as the Lord opened the door.

Gospel purpose isn’t about perfect timing; it’s about a willing heart, ready to serve.

Today’s Reflection:

Are you living ready? Not rushed, not frantic, but prepared in heart and purpose, willing to share and serve wherever God places you today?

Closing Prayer:

Lord, help me to live with Gospel eagerness. Let me not be discouraged by delays, but use them to deepen my readiness. Keep my heart open and my hands willing to serve, wherever, whenever, and to whomever You lead. Amen.
